In the warm land south of Mexico there were two guys who were thirsty. it was the weekend, and they were at the house for guests in the capital of the warm land south of Mexico. As they sat around a table in the house for guests in the warm land south of Mexico, they thought about their thirst. Water was not on their list of acceptable beverages at this hour. Their vanilla coke had disappeared hours before. It was dark out. Too dark to find a store. And furthermore, there was a ban on certain beverages that weekend. So the thirsty guys in the house for guests in the warm land south of Mexico thought thoughts. Discovered ideas. Came up with a plan. Coffee! but not hot coffee. Remember, they are in the warm land south of Mexico. A search was made to see what ingredients the cupboards contained. Milk. check. Sugar. check. Coffeemaker. check. Even coffee filters and coffee. check. Vanilla was also discovered hiding in a corner cupboard. check. The coffee pot was put to work. As it churned out its black goodness, iced coffee recipes were googled. Many recipes were found, including a cold brew method. However that one was left to try later, for its process required an entire night. As the coffee, sugar, vanilla, and milk were being mixed, a problem rose to the surface. Every recipe called for crushed ice. The freezer was opened. Ice cubes were discovered. Crush them. No blender offered its services to the thirsty guys in the house for guests in the capital of the warm land south of Mexico. Again the cupboards were scoured in search of a useful utensil. Knives, cheese graters, and others offered; but failed miserably. Suddenly, it was remembered that at home ice had been crushed by using a bag, putting the ice inside, and smashing the ice with a sledgehammer. Ahh, yes, they knew that the now familiar cupboards contained bags. Into a bag the ice was put. No sledgehammer made itself available. Smashing the bag of ice against the floor sorta worked. Pounding it with a shoe only proved to break the bag. Trusty google came to the rescue. Put the bag of ice inside a small towel it said. This will lessen the noise and keep the bag from breaking. It worked stupendously.

This, my friends, is how iced coffee was made one night by two guys with thirst in the house for guests in the warm land south of Mexico.
